"I made a profit but my balance is low"
You sold on credit, or spent cash on new stock. Check Debt & Credit for what customers owe and your supplier balances.
"My balance is high but I am making a loss"
Money was put into the business by the owner or an investor, or you received a loan. That raises your balance without being profit.
"My balance is negative"
More money has been recorded going out than coming in. Usually money was received but never recorded, or the opening balance was never set. Review the entries and count cash to correct it. A negative balance does not change your profit.
- A cash account cannot be taken below zero - you cannot remove more cash than the box holds. EazyStock asks you to count cash instead.
- A bank or mobile-money account can show as overdrawn (a real overdraft, or a balance not recorded yet). Nothing is blocked; it is just flagged.
"Sales for the month are high but the cash report is small"
Sales include unpaid amounts. The Cash Flow report shows only money that moved.
"I withdrew money and my profit did not change"
Correct - withdrawing for yourself is not a business expense.
